I've never even heard it, how could it possibly be the most over used battle theme? You dare challenge requiem for a dream?

If you've played that game you hear it every five seconds.

Half of disc 2 is comprised of that song.

What does xfire have to do with anything?

And I don't like valve. Portal was their only ACTUALLY good game imo, and that wasn't even an hour long.

I played it constantly, though I was almost ALWAYS using cheatcodes. That's how I learned to play the game, and it was just natural to me.

Still, for some reason it never really occured to me that I could just copy and paste the cheats. To this day, I can still type 'Cheese steak jimmy's' at near light-speed.

You've not given half life more than 10 minutes, and you've never played any CSS mods. You also had the wrong expectations for Left 4 Dead. I understand that you do not like the special infected, but that's not something they can just 'take out.' They balance the game and make versus mode possible.

Half-life, while somewhat plain when it comes to shooting mechanics, has a GREAT story line and presents it better than any game I've ever played. The characters in Half-life have the most 'life' to them of any game.

AS for xfire.... I don't understand what's so great about it. The only thing that Xfire does (that Steam doesn't do) is file transfer... and I rarely have any use for that as it is. Steam is built around on online platform. It much like the xbox live for PC. It brings the community together, which is exactly what the PC needs.

HERESY!

Half Life is an epic masterpiece. Compared to it, Portal is moot. I didn't really like Left 4 Dead, nor Team Fortress 2, but you can't discriminate against Half Life. Counter Strike I have yet to play.

£10 that you spent 10 minutes on Half Life 2 and then gave up.

As for this whole Xfire - Steam thing, I'm not a PC gamer, aside from RTS'. So I don't know.

I remember I spent about half an hour in the beginning of Half life 2 trying to jump onto a street by stacking some boxes up. There was actually a sewer I had to go down, but I hadn't seen it.

Half-life 2 is awesome though.

I would play, get bored, then stop over the process of a year until I finally REALLY go into it. Then I beat all of the Orange box continuous play(not marathon, but that is what I played exclusively till I won like most games)

I got into it all REALLY late. I got my PC and about a year ago, I bought and started playing the original Half-Life. I loved it, and went on the but the Orange box... and played Hald-Life 2 and both of the episodes in what was pretty much a marathon. IMO, it was the best possible way to play it. I'm afraid I won't like Ep. 3 as much because I won't have been going through it like that.

I beat you Recon, I didn't get Orange box until around two months ago. Anyway, this is a thread about game music. Someone make a new thread about Valve so we can discuss their games, or if there's an existing one post in that.
