i'm still appalled at how low peoples uploads are though
its funny how youre close is better than mine, but at greater distances it drops a lot faster.

Re: U and Your Internet
Your a special case dude, most isp's usually offer half that of download for upload. And how are you getting under 10 ms ping 100 miles away? You got FIOS, T1 or something?KristallNacht wrote:not bad at all

Re: U and Your Internet
Macs suck.
They're overpriced, shiny pieces of shit that you have to buy specialty parts for if you want to upgrade, even though they use the same slots as a pc
Also, this is about how fast your isp is, it doesn't matter if you have a mac (they're all shitty) or a pc (amazing), though your modem might have some effect. The main part of this is your isp, Nocbl2.

Re: U and Your Internet
It really helps because it makes the game environment more like a lan than a telerunning crapfest. Have you played a host with a T1 connection? Your jaw will drop at how smooth the online infrastructure will run.

Re: U and Your Internet
Ya know , but it seem that having better connection nowadays to quite a few people I have meet over the internet think that having fast internet connections is like the new "Penis size contest."Carcarius wrote:It really helps because it makes the game environment more like a lan than a telerunning crapfest. But they forget, that if you have that much of an advantage then you should be able to play very well, but they usually don't.
And they can't hate me too much for making the game worse, considering half the time I play I am a sitting duck, give out free kills to anyone I encounter cause of epic lag (Like Red connectiong on CoD4/Halo3). Plus I am never the host.

Re: U and Your Internet
tell that to the kids on your team, who have to deal with a most likely unfair situation because of your red connection...Ukurse wrote:Ya know , but it seem that having better connection nowadays to quite a few people I have meet over the internet think that having fast internet connections is like the new "Penis size contest."Carcarius wrote:It really helps because it makes the game environment more like a lan than a telerunning crapfest.
