Just because it's popular doesn't mean it'll get that bad (I hope).

No one hacked my account. I had to help my brother do something, so I assume my baby brother clicked post.

Re: Halo Forerunner novels
I don't think it will.
The author seems like he would do a good job if it didn't have a Forerunner story. From the article it says he tries to make things seem real. Forerunner made light solid, created ringworlds with artificial gravity, a weapon that kills everything in an entire galaxy in a small span of time. Forerunner just doesn't seem his style.

Re: Halo Forerunner novels
Technicaly, it took 7 rings to wipe the galaxy clean (or apparently not, seeing as how all the Covenant races survived). And the Halo's have gravity generated by centrifical force, not exactly artificial.
But other than that I see your point.

Notice how things are pulled to the center of the Earth? On a Halo, you are pulled to the outside.

Re: Halo Forerunner novels
halo spins
the spinning is the equivalent of holding a bucket of water and spinning it... notice how the water stays in the bucket?
this is called centripetal force... it caused because the velocity of a person is always trying to escape the circle of accelleration... because there is a barrier in between the person and the direction of velocity and angular acclelleration the person is held onto the ground
earth has enough mass to hold us in place with gravity... halo does not
