Quite a good review, where he does bring up some of the problems with the game

It seems he didn't like Shield World

Also, there's a little mini review for the first 2 minutes by one of the guys from unskipable, so you can skip that if you want to get to the actual review.

I liked Graham's review. He did pretty well. Wouldn't say he nailed it, but he did at least as well as Yahtzee in Unskippable.

As for the review, loved the ending - and the point about baby's first RTS.

I think he went too soft on it.

And I swear if he disses RTSs when all he's played is HW and C&C again I'm gonna be pissed.

I went on the forum there and explained why he failed the 10th mission.

I agree with most of his other points though.

I liked the ending with the Imps.

Well... he nailed every flaw with the game... though I don't agree with his critiques about the general storyline of Halo.

I do agree that the Halo Wars storyline lacked a bit uniqueness - and this is only added to by the fact that you don't really get to do anything with the storyline, making it all the more depressing, plus the lack of back story with any of the characters - but the general storyline of the Halo-verse is not just another evil aliens suck game. Perhaps the overall war itself is like this, but the idea of the flood, heretics, forerunners, sentinels, and two Covenant factions make it very interesting compared to a standard "aliens attack, humans are weak, super soldiers pwn aliens" game (especially since the super soldiers, in fact, did not pwn, but a majority died).

He messed up with the selection, though... you can select all of a certain unit if you want, plus you can use the trigger to cycle through the types of units at the bottom, which makes the lack of being unable to control only two types at once all the less traumatic.

It's funny what happened to him in the tenth level, though. Perhaps ES should have thought through that a bit more... though I've never failed that mission.

I do agree with him about the story, but to be brutally honest, we all knew in advance that the story was going to be bad, so that isn't a big point to me.

Wow... I saw a few more reviews, and I decided to look at Orange Box to see if it's worth getting the other games along with Portal for the PC to get more maps... and I was surprised to see that he actually had nothing bad to say about Portal. I knew it was an awesome game, but I still expected something other than "sure, it's only a three hour game..."

By his reviews, Team Fortress didn't look very good, and Halflife 2 would only be good if I played the other ones... which would require me to not only buy the Orange Box, but to buy the other Half Life's as well... I suppose I'll just check out Halflife's prices and see if I can't do just that.

The story-line was bad for halo wars, just very bad...

he seemed to hit most of the points, but I guess he doesn't play skirmish to note the dim-witted AI.

I have to agree.

Halo 2 was a copy of Halo CE, just with some gameplay tweaks and the fact you played as the Arbiter for most of it.

Halo 3 was a copy of the Halo 2. Just with a weaker story as it diluted from Halo CE twice.

Halo Wars was the weakest dilution yet.

I'd like to see something new guys, which is why I have a faint hope with ODST. No Spartans, hopefully no Forerunner superweapons, just a good old UNSC vs. the Covenant.

The only RTS he's played is Halo Wars, which to be honest isn't the best example of the genre.

IMO, everybody overrates Halos storyline.
Sure it is relatively good, well, compared to most games.
But it is only a storyline, and I think too many people think that that is the only reason to by a halo game. I play it just for the multiplayer, I LLOOVVEE Team Fortress 2 and that has no storyline.
And the same applies to HW, I'm not going to buy it for a storyline and crappy campaign, but for the Multiplayer.

well you're an MP gamer.

I'm almost entirely a SP gamer because i love the connection with a story. I like the feeling of purpose in the game, and not just mindlessly wasting my days. Since the story line makes the game an investment.
