I'm not sure if thisare where these go, but this is what happens when you lock a college freshman in a studio for a week. This is at 1/8 scale.

Yeah, I made the models from scratch ( and a picture from the company website), textured them(with textures made from the detailed images on the site) and then animated them.

I'm not an art guy by any stretch of the imagination but they look a lot more rough when compared to the house and things.

Doesn't set a good precedence for the rest of the portfolio(which is good but I was put off from the first few images)

It was a toss up between "Do I want to lead with my best stuff and risk the last half being a let down" or "Do I want to just go in chronological order". I picked the second one. Now that you mention it though, I can see how that doesn't work as well digitally as it does in print.

Maybe try reverse chronological with the approximate dates listed?

Or throw the not so good ones randomly inside the portfolio so they aren't viewed in tandem.

Make these and you should be good
