Is anyone else excited about this? I loved the first game and can't wait for this.

Re: Metro: Last Light
Is number one worth it?
Is it open world ala Fallout or a more railroaded FPS ala every thing the fuck else made since Halo 2

Re: Metro: Last Light
It's kind of a strange mix. There's no UI to speak of really, but it does not follow the 2-weapon rule. There is a limited form of conversation and exploration.

As I said, nothing to speak of really. There is a UI, but it's not a "press I to access inventory" deal.Lord Pheonix wrote:Video I watched there was a UI showing weapon type and ammo count.

Re: Metro: Last Light
I was referring to the "railroaded" part of his first post, and the game is about a metro system. Probably should have quoted, too late now though.

Re: Metro: Last Light
Having just completed the first game, I would definitely say it is worth it. I quite enjoyed the ending I reached, even if it is not the "canonical" ending.
Re: Metro: Last Light
It's being released May 14th in America and May 17th in Europe.

Good to see that it hasn't been delayed too badly after THQ went under.

Cannot wait for this. Loved every part of the first game, very well done. This one is shaping up to be excellent as well.

Re: Metro: Last Light
We can only hope that the game lives up to our expectations. I'm a touch dubious of games that change hands, even if it was just publishers. Publishers seem to have a knack for ruining games better than devs could ever hope to.

I'm not too worried as Deep Silver only came in when the game was pretty much finished.
I'd be more worried about games like Saints Row 4 for that regard, given their terrible marketing faux pas with Dead Island Riptide.

Re: Metro: Last Light
Don't know if you guys are interested, but here's the writer of the Metro books and games talking for about 20 minutes about it's origins and some stuff about Last light.
