7 scientists are facing manslaughter charges for not predicting a major earthquake. They face up to 15 years in jail and lawyers for civil plaintiffs are seeking 50m euros in damages.

The radio station I listen to, "The Mens Room" does a "shot of the day" every day at 5:00 to a funny/weird/stupid etc story.

This was the story yesterday or the day before that. Sucks to be those scientists.

They shouldn't have to be put up to trial for this, there are a good amount of scientists trying to stop this but i doubt they will yield to pressure.
