Now KrAzY, you can't only speak for yourself.

Re: Just Wondering
Ive actually seen some people with as much as 70,000 gamerscore.
Its times like that I wonder where they are getting all the money for all those games and where the find the time to achieve those points...

Re: Just Wondering
I heard of a group of college kids who share an account to get as much gamerscore as possible.
ive only got about 12k I think, but I haven't reaaally played in months.
My lives not even set up, so most of my points aren't "registered" yet.

I don't have XBL, but if you get acheivements and then register online (whatever it's called) do I keep the points, or do I ave to get them over again?

im not totally sure, but i think you turn an offline account into a live account....but really...you should have a Silver account...
and what P was talkign about with 'registered' was to mean he's not connected to the internet so the online databases don't know he's done it, so as long as his GT isn't recovered on another xbox, he won't lose those.

Re: Just Wondering
Sometimes you loose them, but it shouldn't matter. What good are points if you can't even show them to other people? They don't get you anything.

Re: Just Wondering
I've got around 4400 I believe, having played since half a year after xbox 360's release.
Gamerscore also means nothing to me, and I will not deliberately go after achievements just for gamerscore.

Re: Just Wondering
I use achievements to expand the playability of games.
Like Mirror's Edge. Rediculous short and lacks replayability. But wanting to get speedrun and time trial achievements kept me going

Re: Just Wondering
Achievments help to make games more playable as you can go back and play more to get them.
Re: Just Wondering
I understand what you guys are saying about achievements encouraging re-playability, but it sounds to me that you lack any real "drive."
I played Mass Effect on hardcore, not for the achievement, but to be able to say that "I beat it on hardcore"
I'm spending hours playing Mirror's Edge time trials, not because I want any achievements (I have the PC version) but because I want to improve my time.
If anything, achievements cheapen it.

Re: Just Wondering
Achievements make it last for me, considering I don't have a 360. So the concept of playing to beat it on the highest difficulty (though i normally do) and to improve times doesn't work because of my limited access.
